Dorothy Eng

Dorothy Eng is passionate about using technology and design to positively impact everyday people’s lives. As Executive Director of Code for Canada, Dorothy works with government and corporate partners to help build the digital capacity of public service teams across the country in order to enable them to deliver better services that meet residents’ needs in our digital age. She is passionate about contributing her skills and experience in business development and entrepreneurship to increase the social impact of nonprofits and initiatives that are working at the forefront of making our country more inclusive, equitable, and innovative for all.

As a self-starter, Dorothy is always looking for innovative approaches to improve existing systems and empower individuals. Past initiatives include being a co-founder of Civic Tech Toronto, a weekly meetup where engaged residents use technology, data and design to better understand and shape their communities, and launching a science and engineering summer camp for youth while in university.
